 Re: Importation of Methadone Hydrochloride 1%

and other Controlled Substances

A special permit will be required for the Jamaica Customs. Please send the following information to the Pharmaceutical & Regulatory Affairs Department, Ministry of Health at the above address with a request for the special permit: -

•  ·       A letter from the physician stating the name of the patient and the treatment prescribed.

• ·        A copy of the prescription indicating the name, strength and quantity of the drugs for the duration of the stay.

•          Flight details (dates and times of arrival and departure, flight numbers, ports of departure and arrival in Jamaica

•          The address of patient while in Jamaica.

•          A contact number and or facsimile number of the physician and/or patient.
