Procedure for the Renunciation of Jamaican Citizenship
QUALIFICATION
The applicant must be at least 18 years of age, either a national of a foreign country or has been assured of such nationality on the condition that he or she renounces Jamaican Nationality.
DOCUMENTARY REQUIRMENTS
- The Declaration of Renunciation Form to be completed in triplicate. Forms can only be obtained from the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) of Jamaica (www.pica.gov.jm)
- Original Birth Certificate
- Jamaican Passport
- Evidence of other nationality
- Two (2) passport sized photographs to be certified by a Consular Officer at the High Commission or the Jamaican Consulate (Birmingham)
- Fee in the amount of £646.50 which should be made payable via direct bank transfer to the Jamaican High Commisison.
